my favorite thing i've ever written has to be Five Birthdays and a Funeral (6 chapters, 57.8k words, E), so i'll start there.

this fic focuses on Stede navigating depression and anxiety while finding himself and figuring out his feelings for Ed, and its thesis statement is very important to me - that the whole "you have to love yourself before you can love others/before you can be loved" thing is a lie, and that you don't have to be a perfectly "healed" human being before you can love and be loved in return.

i put a lot of personal stuff into it, which was both scary and cathartic, and the response has been incredible and extremely validating. seeing how this stuff resonates 🥹 made me feel less alone (and i always love it when people shout at me about ketchup lmao) 💗 and along with the heavier stuff, it has strong romcom vibes, some of my fav Ed/Stede banter i've written, and lots of smut which i have on authority (from lovely readers) is very hot 😌

next, i'm pretty proud of A Series of Cases of Penetrating Stab Wounds of the Abdomen - a short fic (1.9k words, T) written entirely as a scientific paper in the (fictional) Republic of Pirates Medical Journal! it was extremely fun to find a way to make a narrative work in this format (and i especially love the footnote referencing Roach inventing ye olde toppe surgery) 🤸

i have a soft spot for In the sack (2 chapters, 8.3k words, E), which has a mix of innkeeper domestic fluff/smut, character study relating to Stede and clothes, exploration of why both Ed and Stede might find freedom and empowerment on either side of dom/sub play, and Stede getting to wear the onesie of subification 😌

lastly, this is my least-read fic (which is to be expected for fics with crew member POVs, though it actually has a lot of Ed and Stede being obnoxiously in love), but one of my favs is Bathtub beginnings (4.1k words, M). i just love the 60s New York vibes and think it came out really well ✌️

Hello I’ve noticed your blog and you write some good Hima fics :P I was wondering if you can do a one shot based off an idea I have? the idea is that Himawari is struggling with the trauma from her academy arc with Kawaki to getting kidnapped to watching her friend die ect. But hima being the selfless sweetie she is keeps all this bottled up because she doesn’t want to bother her family with her issues causing her to be distant from her family. However something triggers Hima to have a panic attack and her family helps her.

She couldn't do it. She couldn't get to sleep. Again.

Himawari pressed her pillow against her face, trying to suppress the sobs that wracked her body and the tears that wouldn't stop coming.

This whole thing was stupid anyway. Everything was fine. Everyone was fine. Except for the fact that everyone wasn't, Himawari flinched at her own thoughts, pressing the pillow against her face harder.

She didn't know why she was feeling this way when she had made it out alive. Didn't deserve to feel this way when she was alive. Alive and in the room she thought she'd never see again, inside the house she thought she'd never get back to with her family that she thought she'd never be able to say goodbye to.

The room where she also hadn't gotten a wink of sleep since coming back from that horrible mission, the one that she didn't have the heart to tell her parents that may be her last one because they were just so proud of her.

And her parents, oh her beloved parents, how could she explain to them that she felt like she didn't deserve to be alive after everything that happened and how she (and her body) didn't feel like she deserved a good night's sleep.

Himawari moved to settle down on her side, hugging the pillow as tightly as she could, starting a staring contest with her stuffed bear.

So I’ve been missing our dear Din and especially because cowboy Din just hits differently, and even though my Texan Joel Miller heart is screaming at me to pick the cabin - I’m gonna go for that first option because can you imagine it?!

The tent that he set up for you? The absolute tender way Din is always making sure you’re protected and given shelter even within the watch of the wilderness?? Plus I’m also blaming the eclipse making me feel so in awe of the cosmos but getting to enjoy the stars with and feel so small yet so grand with a sweet gruff cowboy like Din?

Also let’s not forget how tender he would unravel and cherish you within the safety of his watch and under the protection of the vast desert sprawling all around you with its magnificent wildness? You and him simply melt into that and become one with the wilderness and its just so Din and so pure cowboy 😭

Plus I’m such a sucker cliche water sign wanting to always be near water so that plus the steamy adventures that can happen in the river is just so 👀

what did you think about victoria's secret fashion show? as soon i saw it was happening, you were the first person that came to my mind hehe i watched it and you look so much like candice swanepoel (she ateeee)! but honestly though, i am a little bit disappointed by the show's production - it felt really rushed and it lacked the glam and glitter

i didnt even know it was happening your ask was actually what made me go on twitter and search for the pics because???? why the hell was it in the middle of a week at the fuck ass time anyway well thats the first thing. i just finished watching and my biggest complaint is the set design like the floor looked horrendous and hard to walk on some of the girls were so wobbly. anyway lack of theme, lack of direction and production as you said, the crowd was dead, the girls were not interacting like its a vs showwww it was all too sterile. i grew up watching the OG shows they were everything to me and this fell FLAT as their hair i already said wtf is that flat ass limp straight hair doing on a vs angel. everything was poorly lit even the backstage like why does it look corporate we are the hair roller. the wings atrocious the fits some bad some mediocre. tyla was fantastic though shes a star it honestly reminded me of fashion show from a movie yk like i never watched that lily rose depp show the idol but i imagine this is how it looks like. anyway ASSSSS 2/10 from me.
